May 27, 2020 · Physical Therapy

COPTS has reopened our doors! We have been performing telehealth visits since 4/06/20 and began seeing in person patients starting 5/4/2020.

We want to assure you we are doing our part in these uncertain times. We will continue our efforts to keep our community safe, healthy, and happy. In accordance for the Center for Disease Control, these steps are taken immediately:

  • All contacted surfaces are routinely cleaned using medically graded cleaners
  • All Men’s and Women’s Bathrooms on this floor have soap and water. Every patient/caregiver is encouraged to wash their hand prior to appointments.
  • Staff will wash their hands and/or sanitize with disinfectant between patients
  • In the efforts of Social Distancing patients/caregivers are recommended to sit 6 ft apart in our waiting room. We ask that family members please wait outside of clinic – either in the car or outside building in open area unless: 1) pt is a minor, 2) pt requires use of translator
  • Anyone that has a fever, cough, shortness of breath, respiratory symptoms, body aches, loss of taste/smell, gastrointestinal problems, headache, sore throat are not to come inside our clinic. We are screening those on the phone prior to appointments
  • We have isolated rooms in our clinic 6 ft apart from other contact other than your Physical Therapists
  • We are forehead temperature checking anyone who comes inside our clinic upon arrival and those with a temperature > than 99.5 deg we do recommend not entering our clinic.
  • All our Physical Therapists are routinely temperature checked and will not be in clinic if they have any respiratory symptoms

This is a fluid situation and is subject to change in accordance with local, state, and federal standards. We will update you regularly with any modification to these plans.

Wishing you are all stayin safe and healthy from our family here at Central Oahu Physical Therapy Specialists!

  • I've benefited in so many ways: improved my functionality, learned to re-educate my muscles "slowly", and continued to maintain a pro-active attitude by taking control of my healing.

  • I appreciate, very much, that you thoroughly explained the purpose of the exercises - it is more meaningful when doing the exercise, to know its purpose.
